Project Kick-off

The Fresh4Bio project officially launched with a virtual kick-off meeting bringing together all consortium partners and representatives from the European Space Agency (ESA). During the meeting, the team introduced the project objectives, work plan, and collaboration structure for the coming years.

Fresh4Bio aims to advance our understanding of how freshwater inputs influence Arctic Ocean dynamics and ecosystem responses, using satellite observations—particularly from the SWOT mission—combined with modeling and in situ data.

The kick-off meeting marked an important first step in establishing a common vision and coordinating efforts across the participating institutions. The discussions set the stage for an exciting project period ahead, dedicated to improving knowledge of Arctic freshwater–biological interactions in a changing climate.
